Jack is a native of Bath County and comes from a long line of Sneads that first came to the Warm Springs Valley in 1723. He received his BBA from the University of Miami in 1967,  then on to graduate school at the U of M and later, the Harvard School of Design in Golf Course Architecture. He formerly served as Director of Golf Operations for the Greenbrier (White Sulpher Springs, West Virginia), The Boca Raton Hotel and Club (Boca Raton, Florida) and Boca West (Boca Raton, Florida). He is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Sam Snead Enterprises, Sam Snead Course Design, Sam Snead Golf, Inc. and Slammer Rentals, Inc. From 1990 until 2002, he served as agent and manager for his father, golfing legend Sam Snead. He has been a licensed real estate agent since 1983. He currently lives on the family home place in Healing Springs.
